Wonderful Person of the Week: Brian Fallon.

In our last podcast, “Mal,” we announced this week’s wonderful person to be Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem and The Horrible Crowes. Not only are both of these projects absolutely stellar, but us here at BoN would definitely say they are both required listening.

Brian Fallon spreads his songwriting talents across these bands with what seems like ease. Some say Fallon uses Springsteen-ian hooks and rhythms to copy the Boss himself but I would say that’s just the surface of Gaslight. There’s much more desperation and true love with Fallon’s lyrics than people give him credit for.
The Horrible Crowes’s new album just came out on Tuesday, and we couldn’t recommend it enough. The album brings out the best of Gaslight’s rhythms into an intimate setting perfect for headphones and a nice night in. That is why he’s the wonderful person and most likely will be again when the new Gaslight album comes out next year.
